Supplies
Seven Borve is well-equipped for self-catering. A good range of general supplies can be found in the two village shops in Leverburgh (5 miles away). Tarbert (12 miles) also has a small butcher. A travelling shop can also call at the house with a selection of basics. Stornoway, the main town in the Western Isles (50 miles), has two large supermarkets, bakers, butchers and fishmongers.
If you would like a holiday from the kitchen, the island has a number of good cafés and restaurants. These include the award-winning Scarista House, overlooking a three-mile beach and the ocean beyond, which is but a short drive or appetite-building walk away from Seven Borve. Alternatively, our immediate neighbours deliver superior, ready-cooked meals straight to your fridge and also serve dinner to non-residents at their excellent guest house, Pairc an t-Srath. In both cases, booking is essential.
